Let’s Make Kingston Smile Again!

More reasons for Kingston to Smile!

There are many claims that Kingston is one of the happiest places to live in London. For example, in 2018, when The Resident published their article indicating that Kingston-upon-Thames is the second happiest place to live in London. During 2020, Coronavirus has created uncertainty and a drop of morale for most cities and town in the UK, including Kingston-upon-Thames and Hampton Wick – we want to change that, and make Kingston smile!

Thames Street Dental is located in the heart of Kingston town centre. Looking around the town centre, we are starting to see people smile again, but we want to give the residents of Kingston and Hampton Wick more reasons to smile!

More Kingston Smiles!

Now that lock-down measures are easing, we are pleased to announce that our Dentists are now able to offer our full range of dental treatments again, including Teeth Whitening, Crowns and Veneers. We have been following government and industry regulation and guidelines, and have updated all of our Standard Operating Procedures to ensure that we are able to offer the same great dental care we were able to offer before the COVID-19 era, and ensuring the safety of our staff and patients, and ultimately the whole of Kingston. Many of these changes relate to how we operate our business, and will not be obvious to patients, however some will be noticeable when entering the practice. To find out more about what changes we have made, please our COVID-19 Update.

Whether you want to improve the colour of your teeth with Teeth Whitening, or wish to straighten, align or change the shape of your teeth, our Dentists would be happy more than happy to speak to you about what is most suitable for your dental needs and help make you smile again!

What is the Procedure for Tooth Whitening?

The Dentist will first check the health of your teeth for suitability, and then take a set of impressions – these impressions will be used to create custom-made whitening trays for your teeth and mouth. Once the trays are ready, you will be shown how to use the teeth whitening kit with bleach, and how long you may need to use it to reach your desired shade of whitening.

For further information about our teeth whitening procedures, please see the following page: Teeth Whitening

What is the Procedure for Crowns and Veneers?

Once your teeth have been checked and relevant X-Rays taken to assess the health of your teeth, your tooth will be prepared and shaped for either a Crown or Veneer. An impression will be taken and a temporary crown will be placed. Approximately 1 week later, the temporary crown will be removed and your new crown will be fitted and checked.
